Workouts that know the rest of your body.
A fitness app can count your sets. Leo also knows your sleep, your heart-rate variability, your resting heart rate, and the symptoms you track. That's the difference behind Training Readiness — a single 0–100 score for how recovered you are today, built entirely from your own signals and compared only to you.
A workout engine that already holds its own.
The logging is mature: strength sessions, cardio, routes, live activities on the lock screen, and Apple Watch workouts that capture real heart-rate data. That part stands next to any dedicated fitness app. Readiness is what only Leo can add on top.

One score, five signals, all yours.
Training Readiness is a weighted blend of five recovery signals. Each one is measured against your own recent average — roughly the last three weeks — not against a population target. Signals above your usual range raise the score; signals below it lower it. Because it's a blend, a single off night won't swing it on its own.
Heart rate variability
Overnight HRV, now saved as a first-class vital. Higher than your usual range raises the score.
Sleep
Last night's duration and efficiency, rolled into a quality score.
Resting heart rate
Lower than your baseline reads as recovered; an elevated morning RHR pulls it down.
Yesterday's training load
Active energy plus logged volume versus a typical day — a hard day yesterday tempers today.
Respiratory rate
Overnight breathing rate; an elevated night is an early under-recovery signal.
Four honest bands, plain language.
The score lands in one of four bands with a short, descriptive note. It's a nudge about how today might feel — never an instruction, and never a clinical judgment.
Primed
Above your usual range — a good day to push if you want to.
Ready
In your normal range — set for a typical session.
Moderate
A few signals below your usual range — an easier session may feel better.
Take it easy
Several signals below baseline — rest or a light session may serve you best.
Recovery-aware, then condition-aware.
Readiness is the foundation. From here, training gets smarter about your performance — and, uniquely, smarter about the conditions Leo already helps you track. Everything below stays descriptive: Leo tracks and reflects, it doesn't prescribe.
Recovery-aware
- Training ReadinessLive today — the score this page describes.
- Post-workout recoveryHeart-rate recovery after a session and your next-morning resting HR, so you can see what a workout cost you.
Intelligent
- Auto-progressionNext-session targets suggested from your last performance and effort rating.
- Training load balanceThis week's strain against your four-week baseline, so spikes are easy to spot.
- Heart-rate zonesTime-in-zone with a Zone 2 emphasis, and zone alerts on the watch.
Condition-aware
- Heart-rate ceilingsAn optional ceiling you or your clinician set, with an alert when a session crosses it.
- Energy-envelope pacingFor people who pace around post-exertional symptoms — a heads-up before a session runs past your envelope.
- Joint-protection cuesMovement reminders for hypermobile bodies, tied to the condition packs you already use.
What the score is — and what it isn't.
On-device & personal
The score is calculated on your phone from your own HealthKit data. It compares you to your own baseline — never to anyone else.
Descriptive, not diagnostic
Readiness reflects patterns in your recovery signals. It is not a medical assessment and does not diagnose, screen for, or treat anything.
Yours to act on
It's a gentle nudge about how today might feel. You decide what to do with it — push, ease off, or ignore it entirely.
